Debt Collection Department

 General Information

The Debt Collection Department is responsible for collection of municipal property tax, municipal garbage fees and education service fees.

Municipal property tax: tax on asset holdings.

Billing is determined by the size of the asset space, where it is located and classification of use. Municipal property tax is a central component of the municipal financial budget and provision of services to the residents of the city.

Tax Exemptions: Municipal bodies are exempt from taxes according to municipal and central government tax laws (dismissal), 1938, whereby property taxes are reduced by 33% of the full tax charged.

Water Fees: a rate which is determined by the amount of water used by the consumer. Water rates are determined by the Central Government.

Education Services Fee: a fee for additional education services that are not funded by the State.
